From Nivelles, Maastricht is 130 kilometres, Eindhoven 160, Terneuzen 150. The southern Netherlands belongs to the same industrial basin as Flanders and Wallonia: the borders there are administrative, not economic.
Three clusters occupy us in particular. The Chemelot chemical complex at Geleen and Dutch Limburg more broadly. The Terneuzen area in Zeeland, with its chemical plants and its direct link to the port of Antwerp. And the Eindhoven region, oriented more towards high technology and precision engineering.
These are demanding environments: piping, storage tanks, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, with inspection campaigns concentrated into the shutdown periods. That is precisely when availability counts as much as competence.
What changes when you work in the Netherlands
The Dutch term is not a translation of anything: it is niet-destructief onderzoek, abbreviated NDO. And the everyday word for a regulatory inspection is keuring. If you are searching from a Dutch site, those are the words that return anything useful.
The Dutch market leans heavily on its own notified bodies — Kiwa, SGS, DEKRA and others — for certification and pressure equipment surveillance. We do not step into their role: ours is the inspection body that performs the examinations and reports the results, within the framework your client defines.
The standards applied are the same as ours: Directive 2014/68/EU (PED), the harmonised EN 13445 series for pressure vessels and EN 13480 for industrial piping, EN 1090 for the execution of steel structures.
What we perform in the Netherlands
Visual testing, penetrant testing, magnetic particle testing, conventional and phased array ultrasonics, thickness measurement, hardness testing, material identification, ferrite measurement, pressure and leak testing.
Radiography stays in Belgium
Licensing for ionising radiation sources is national. Ours is Belgian, issued by FANC-AFCN, and it stops at the border.
Radiography is therefore performed in Belgium: on site, or in our bunker at Nivelles, to which components can be shipped from the Netherlands — over that distance it is not an unreasonable arrangement. Every other method is performed at your premises.

LCNDTEST is an inspection body accredited BELAC 786-INSP to EN ISO/IEC 17020. BELAC is a signatory to the European mutual recognition arrangements, which makes that accreditation immediately readable to a Dutch client.
We also hold SCCp (VCA Petrochemie) certification from TÜV AUSTRIA — a scheme the Dutch petrochemical sector knows well, since it shares its roots with VCA. Our technicians work in Dutch.
